There’s been a slight delay in the release of the first Silk Sonic album. The Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars collab project, which took the whole music world by storm this past year, was originally set for a 2021 release. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Mars says the album has been pushed to January 2022, however a precise release date has still yet to be revealed.
According to Bruno, they’ve got the “bones of the album,” but are still “touching up parts that need a little more… Grease.” He also mentioned that there will indeed by more singles before the project drops in its entirety.
So far, Paak and Mars have delivered two singles, “Leave The Door Open” and “Skate.” With how quality these releases have been, we’re happy to wait a little bit longer so these two can perfect the full album.
