Rising Artists Andrea Nayeli & Lou Caluso Make Magic On Effervescent “Niño Santo”

What do you get when you take the hazy psychedelic vibe of Bomba Estereo and combine it with the swagger of Rosalía? “Niño Santo,” the addictive new song from Andrea Nayeli and Lou Caluso, two rising artists from LA.

The artistic synergy between these two is palpable. Their sound is totally unique and refreshing; they take so many seemingly disparate sounds and bring them together in a beachy electro package. “Niño Santo” takes the tropical latin beat of reggaeton and pairs it washed out synth and gritty guitar, transforming it into an effervescent yet intoxicating love song. Not to mention, Andrea’s alluring, self-assured rap vocal performance elevate this song to another level.

Below, Andrea tells us how this song was born:

“Niño Santo is about love in the making  that obsessive, adoring and corporeal phase we experience at the beginning of a romantic relationship. It is based on my own relationship with Lucas, who sent me this beat and encouraged me to try writing something that was out of my comfort zone. I did, rapping in Spanish for the first time and surprising both of us. Our collaboration resulted in a truly sexy and delightfully sweet piece of music, in my entirely biased opinion.”

Hopefully this is just the beginning of more collaboration between both Andrea and Lou. We cannot stop listening to this song on repeat. Make sure to give it a listen (or three) below. Enjoy!
