Today we have an incredibly talented rapper to introduce to the site. LA-based Azizi Gibson is someone I've been bumping for a minute and now we have the pleasure of premiering his soulful new single "Hopeless."
This impressive new single is the second release off his forthcoming EP I'm Good On People we can expect on Nov. 10. Gibson effortlessly brings his versatile life experiences to his music. He grew up a military brat who was born in Germany and lived in Singapore and Thailand before moving to the states. He went on to be signed to Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder label before launcing his own preHISTORIC imprint where he's had a spree of impressive releases.
This time around he's linked up with frequent collaborator Kamandi for the extra smooth production. Lush keyboard melodies kick off the minimal beat while Azizi Gibson starts by showing off his slick falsetto vocals until the drums kick in and he bounces along the skittering percussing with his lyrical verses.
