There is something so cool about family creating music together. Often times, friends become family through the process of this emotional, vulnerable art form. Today, legendary artist, Barclay Crenshaw, recruits his very own son, Jasper Crenshaw, for their debut collaboration, “Goodbye My Friends.”
An ode to Jasper’s high school friends and journey into college, “Goodbye My Friends” takes the listener on an introspective journey. Crenshaw delivers an emotive bass arrangement to compliment the heartfelt nature of the vocals, incorporating engaging percussion and melodic undertones, but never overwhelming the rest of the production. The track also marks Jasper’s debut release, following Barclay’s recent collaboration with Jasper’s sister, Ella.
