Big Gigantic Release Exciting Documentary Capturing How They Brought Saxophone To EDM

Today we have something very special from an act we’ve been featuring on TSIS for years! Big Gigantic, the Boulder, Colorado based live electronic duo featuring Dominic Lalli who produces the music, DJs live and plays Saxophone during the entire set and Jeremy Salken who performs on the drums.

We've been featuring the band since their early remixes like "I Need A Dolla" (Aloe Blacc) or "Black And Yellow" (Wiz Khalifa) or the A Place Behind The Moon album

This awesome 20 minute long short film of a documentary dives much deeper into the groups past with the start of Dom explaining his true Jazz background at the Manhattan school of music who joined the funk band, The Motet, who are now the backing band at their Red Rocks show this weekend. The documentary highlights the hilarious struggle that manager Ben Baruch had trying to convince booking agents to sign the band when none of them thought a Saxophone would work in the EDM space.

Since the groups formation in 2008, they've had 4 years of sold out Red Rocks shows at our collaborative Rowdytown event, along with playing at just about every music festival and going strong.

This is a very well done piece on a group we are massive fans of and support to the fullest. Enjoy!

P.S. Rowdytwon is coming up this weekend and Saturday tickets are long gone but you can purchase tickets here for Friday if you haven't already.
