It’s no secret Flume has been a game changing artist and has been a major tastemaker over the course of his career. However, you may not be as familiar with his incredibly talented studiomate Naderi who recently emerged from working behind the scenes with Flume, What So Not, Carmada and other various acts to launch his own project, hitting the ground running with standout remixes such as Keys N Krates’ “Save Me,” Carmada’s “On Fire,” Diplo & Sleepy Tom’s “Be Right There,” and Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen.”
Now the forward thinking Aussie producer has been tapped for an official remix of “Drum Machine,” the massive collaboration between Skrillex and Big Grams (the fairly new project linking Phantogram with Outkast’s Big Boi). Naderi continues his hot streak of releases as he’s given the original an Australian facelift we didn’t know it needed until hearing this. He stepped up to reconstruct the song from scratch adding his own flavor as a mixture of synth melodies, vocal chops and bass growls with unique, colorful drops bringing everything together utilizing the original’s vocals to their full potential. Once again we see this exciting artist add his golden touch to the already great track with his melodic layers complimenting the exhilarating high points of the original.
