Black Carl! & Saka Flex Their Bass Prowess On New Collaborative EP ‘Rush Hour’

||, , |,

Equally impressive on their own, but an undeniably splendid duo, Black Carl! and Saka are uniting for the first time in their careers on their brand new Rush Hour EP. With Black Carl!’s bass drop expertise and Saka’s experimental twist, we had a feeling this EP was bound to go hard, and it does.

This four-track bass escapade truly exemplifies the production prowess of both Black Carl! and Saka. Starting things off with feature vocalist, The Lie Within Callie, the duo establishes a house-inspired groove on “Heaven On Earth.” The track descends into a minimalistic drop, playing with synth textures and vocal chops to reel the listener in. The duo digs into classically heavy bass drops on the title track, “Rush Hour,” reminding us of the power that comes out of their collaborative efforts. Energies remain high for glitch-filled “Brutal,” as the duo calls on their friend Protial for additional production nuggets, closing the EP on the simple, yet impactful “Red Dragon.”

Black Carl! shared his thoughts on Rush Hour, commenting:

When Eric and I first met, we joked that we should make a song called “Rush Hour.” Three years later we got to play the biggest tour of our careers, we’re putting out the Rush Hour EP on DeadBeats, and Zeds Dead played our title track at Red Rocks. It’s hard to believe, but we’re so thankful for the support of our fans, friends, and family who got us to this point.
