Justin Vernon, better known to the masses by his Bon Iver project, has established himself as one of the very best all-around artists in all of music today. His unique and vast sonic renderings have captivated audiences across all genres for years, and he is adding to his boundless repertoire with his new album SABLE, fABLE, the project’s first in six years.
SABLE, fABLE is split into two parts featuring the darker SABLE and lighter fABLE. The album’s material began in the uncertainty and loneliness of the Covid lockdowns with “THINGS BEHIND THINGS BEHIND THINGS”, where Vernon eloquently emotes those ghastly times. The somberness does quickly give way to feelings of joy, desire, and strength through songs such as the dazzling “Everything Is Peaceful Love” and scintillating “If Only I Could Wait”. It truly crescendos and meets at a crossroads with the penultimate track “There’s A Rhythm” where you truly hear the change from the SABLE thoughts to the fABLE. The album also features an incredibly impressive lineup of featured artists including Danielle Haim, Dijon, and Flock Of Doves.
Bon Iver has gained global recognition for a reason, and the legend of it has added another chapter to its lore with this release. Stream SABLE, fABLE below and enjoy!
