Brasstracks Celebrate Kendrick Lamar’s Album Anniversary With 7-Track Medley “Good Kid, Brass City”

Brasstracks have been a TSIS favorite for a while now, so we’ll always have our ear to the ground for new music by the Brooklyn duo. Today they dropped a special piece of music, which comes in the form of a tribute to Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D City album.

Kendrick's breakout second studio album turns six years old today, and Brasstracks is honoring that birthday by sharing a medley of covers from the album. They’re calling it “Good Kid, Brass City,” and it’s something you have to listen to if you enjoy both Kendrick and Brasstracks.

The medley features some of the best tracks off the album like “Compton,” “Poetic Justice,” “Bitch Dant Kill My Vibe,” and more.

We loved Brasstracks’s previous hip-hop covers like their rendition of Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO Tour Llif3” and Drake’s “In My Feelings.” Add “Good Kid, Brass City” to the collection. Stream the medley below and enjoy!
