Brasstracks, Lido & Father Dude Team Up For New Song “Telling The Truth”

||, , |, ,

Brooklyn based duo Brasstracks combine the talents of drummer Conor Rayne and trumpeter Ivan Jackson to blend elements of organic, jazzy live instrumentation with hip-hop percussion and electronic arrangements coming together in a big, cohesive sound. They recently flexed their production abilities on Chance The Rapper’s hit single “No Problem,” and have just delivered a really amazing follow up to their forthcoming Good Love EP’s title track with rapper Jay Prince.

Today the duo returns with “Telling The Truth” and features previous collaborator Lido as well as NYC’s soulful vocalist Father Dude. Brasstracks’ sound is self described as “future brass” as they’ve once again infused their jazzy horns and raw drums with a funky, stuttering bassline and gospel-inspired vocals. Stay tuned for the duo’s debut EP due at the end of July including features from Roses Gabor, S’natra, Alexander Lewis and Masego. Enjoy!
