BROCKHAMPTON Drop Wild New Album Single “JUNKY” + Music Video

Another week, another new song from one of our favorite up-and-coming groups in hip-hop, BROCKHAMPTON. The new track "JUNKY" comes paired with a Kevin Abstract-directed video per usual, but this time it comes with the official album announcement as well. SATURATION II will be released on August 25th, and will include previously released singles "GUMMY" and "SWAMP."

The new song is composed of a barrage of verses, with just one pitched-down chorus that sounds like it could be an old Three 6 Mafia sample. Everyone shines on the track, rapping on top of an eerie beat with heavy bass that weaves in and out. 20-year-old Ameer Vann transcends age with his deep voice and lyrical content, Merlyn Wood wilds out like always, Matt Champions comes with confident and hard bars, while Dom McLennon brings a dizzying flow for the outro. Kevin Abstract provides the most important verse of the song that discusses sexuality in the masculine genre of hip-hop, and it begs you to listen to every word.

These young musicians continue to demonstrate their talent and versatility, and the sky really is the limit for where they can go. They already dropped one of the best rap albums in the summer back in June, and it's sounding like SATURATION II might be another one. Enjoy!
