BVRLY Kick Lil Seyi’s “Tambourine” Up A Notch with Fiery New Remix

Back in 2020, rising artist from Maryland Lil Seyi dropped the vibey R&B track “Tambourine.” Now the chic song is getting the remix treatment from San Francisco duo BVRLY. The group, comprised of producers and instrumentalists Jeff Hoblick and Matty Chirch, released their version this past weekend on Kitsuné Musique.

Lil Seyi’s version, while definitely having a little spark, leans more towards the smooth and suave side of sound. For BVRLY’s rendition of “Tambourine,” the twosome keeps the cool ambiance of the vocals and amp up the party factor with a pad-filled and percussion-infused production. They settle on a techy/garage influence that blends in a fascinating way with the original composition.

You can stream the BVRLY track, one of four on Lil Seyi’s new remix EP, below. Enjoy!
