Calvin Harris Returns As ‘Love Regenerator’ With Two New Acid-House Inspired Weapons

||, |

It looks like Calvin Harris officially has a new acid house side project. Just a couple of weeks ago, Calvin dropped his Love Regenerator 1 EP, which showcased a heavy new sound that we definitely were not fully expecting. The new style, which featured elements of house, techno and breaks, caught us by surprise and we were instantly hooked. Today, Calvin Harris continues the Love Regenerator saga with two more tracks in the form of his Love Regenerator 2 EP.

Once again, the Scottish superstar delivers. We speculate that it won’t be long before we start to see Calvin being booked for some Love Regenerator shows. This new direction from Calvin comes from a desire to start fresh, simply creating music that makes him feel good. Here’s what he said about that in a press release:

“I wanted to rediscover the way I originally began producing music 22 years ago, before I ever thought about how it might be perceived by outside forces. Just pure fun and experimentation with what sounded good to me. The records are inspired by early rave, breaks, techno and house, the music I was obsessed with growing up. In fact, I’ve done everything I can to make them sound like they’ve come from a 1991 time capsule. Every synth and sound used is from that time period.”

Check out these two new tracks, “The Power Of Love II” and “Regenerate Love” from Calvin Harris’s Love Regenerator project below and enjoy!
