One of our favorite albums of 2020 was Caribou‘s Suddenly. Few artists can manage such a wide range of creativity while flawlessly executing their ideas. It’s appropriate that the remix album, Suddenly Remixes, is just as eclectic, with Dan Snaith enlisting an army of forward thinking producers to provide other-worldly renditions of his tracks.
Among this epic lineup of artists are Four Tet, Toro y Moi, Logic1000, Floating Points, just to name a few. Not a single one of these is cheap, club-flip of a track. Each one of these artists completely recreate the tunes they’ve been assigned. It’s impossible to pick a favorite here. The whole project is as jaw-dropping as the original, and full of tracks that we’ll be rinsing on a regular basis.
