With every new video that Cercle posts, they raise the bar for live stream performances. The France-based music channel has shared another performance at a mind blowing location today, with the Danish trio WhoMadeWho playing at the ancient Egyptian temples in Abu Simbel.
For those in need of a quick history lesson, these two temples were built by King Ramses II back in 1244 BC. It’s an incredible that today, over 3000 years later, they not only still stand, but are also being used as the setting for a musical performance.
WhoMadeWho play a dreamy, downtempo, organic house set—all completely live. Parts of the performance are reminiscent of a more tranquil RÜFÜS DU SOL. The trio commented on social media saying that this was the most special moment of their careers.
