We’ve come to truly appreciate CharlesTheFirst‘s psychedelic explorations into sound, combining bass, hip-hop, and downtempo. His gorgeous, organic sound design always results in mesmerizing songs that sound out of this world. He’s just dropped “For Now,” the second album single from the upcoming record Solus, a track that takes a little bit of a different direction from his usual music, with its stripped-down production and a rare, full-length vocal from the man himself.
Though the song misses a bass drop, Charles creates a different feel with bubbly high end and intricate percussion to wrap his whispery, introspective vocals. As always, Charles creates a crystal clear mix, seamlessly bringing in unique elements to elevate the track. We’re always interested to dissect Charles’ unique compositions and follow his unique vision.
We can’t wait for this forthcoming Solus album. In the meantime, check out the music video for the newest single in the link below, enjoy!
