After 15 years of topping the charts, stunning performances, and connecting people through music, techno royalty Charlotte de Witte has decided it’s time for her debut album. Arriving November 7th via her own imprint KNTXT, fans can expect Charlotte de Witte’s most personal and intentional work to date. To celebrate, de Witte has blessed us with an invitation into the world of the album with “The Realm.”
“The Realm” serves as both the lead single and opening track from the album. It has also been a staple in her live sets often used as an attention grabbing opening track. “The Realm” is a very special track. A tight and clean techno beat with an acid dipped synth that gives the track power and attitude. The lyrics “Through the energy of sound, We connect with the infinite. In the silence between the notes, Enter the realm of the unknown” invite listeners into the next chapter of Charlotte de Witte. It is such an anthemic and epic way to open the album and create a window into what we are to expect.
Talking about the lyrics, Charlotte de Witte shared this,
The lyrics capture the essence of what I believe music can do. Techno, and by extension clubbing, has always been about more than just dancing for me. It’s about connection, transcendence and exploration. It’s a way of accessing something unseen, something powerful. There’s a tension and release in the structure that mirrors the feeling of letting go, of stepping into something bigger than yourself.”
