Chet Faker Announces New Album ‘Hotel Surrender,’ Shares New Single “Whatever Tomorrow”

We had a feeling that Nick Murphy had some bigger plans for his Chet Faker alias when he returned with new music last year. After another a single in February, Nick Murphy has officially announced a new Chet Faker album, Hotel Surrender. This will be the first new Chet Faker album in seven years. His last was 2014’s Built On Glass.

Along with the news of a new album, Chet Faker has delivered the third single from the project, “Whatever Tomorrow.” Speaking on the track via Complex, this is what he had to say about the new single:

It’s a rebellion to this idea that you have to wait for the things you need. It felt like we were being sold tomorrow and we were paying for today. I was saying, ‘Fuck your tomorrow, we deserve our lives now.’

You can stream the new single below. The new album, Hotel Surrender, is due out July 16. Enjoy!
