It has been a minute since we’ve heard the sounds of one of our Foreign Family Collective favorites, Chet Porter. After taking a nearly 3 year hiatus from music, Chet makes his triumphant return with a brand new single, “The Longest Day Ever,” out now via Ultra Music.
True to his cinematic nature, the upbeat melody, laid over self-recorded vocals, gains traction before exploding into a euphoric drop. In his own words, “The song is about not caring about anything… It’s not a ‘fun care-free’ type of not caring though. It’s more melancholy.” After battling mental health issues, the track seems to take us alongside Chet’s journey of release, flooding the listener with emotion and light. This marks the first time Chet has used his own vocals in one of his songs and it’s sounding incredible.
Clearly back and better than ever, we can’t wait to hear the tracks Chet has set to release this fall. Enjoy!
