Childish Gambino Officially Drops New Album ‘3.15.20’

||, |, ,

Back on March 15, 2020, Childish Gambino uploaded a full length album to the website donaldgloverpresents.com and then mysteriously removed it less than a day later. Today, he officially dropped the full album with that dateas the title, 3.15.20.

The project is far out and far reaching, pushing the sonic barriers of what define as Childish Gambino’s sound. No definitive genre can find a home here as he’s combined elements of hip hop, indie, electronic, experimental and everything in between into one cohesive project. Almost all of the tracks are simply the time stamp of where it lays within the album, featuring even the previously released record “Feels Like Summer” now under the name, “42.26”. Featured on the LP are also Ariana Grande and 21 Savage.

This surprise drop is his first full length since his Grammy nominated 2016 Awaken, My Love!. Since then he’s been steadily headlining festivals such Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits, winning several Golden Globes and Emmys, appearing in both Star Wars and Lion King movies, and releasing the massively successful Grammy Award winning single “This Is America“.

You can listen to 3.15.20 now, below. Enjoy!
