Claude VonStroke Announces Hiatus to Focus on Barclay Crenshaw Album

||, , |,

Claude VonStroke has accomplished so many much throughout his long career. The Dirtybird boss has almost single handedly innovated tech house music as we know it today in addition to curating some of the most memorable festivals over the past decade. All that aside, he’s ready to focus his attention on his bass music alter-ego, Barclay Crenshaw.

Barclay Crenshaw, his birth-name project, has allowed him to explore non-house music genres like bass, hip-hop, trap, and beyond. He first debuted the project in 2015 at Dirtybird Campout and his sets/mixes have been immortalized ever-since.

This past weekend, Barclay Crenshaw was the main support for Of The Trees’ sold-out debut Red Rocks show. Barclay lived up to the hype, playing various IDs, edits, and unreleased collabs. He also made the announcement that he’d be taking a step back from Claude VonStroke to focus entirely on Barclay Crenshaw, including a new album under the moniker.

Check out some clips from his Red Rocks set below and enjoy!
