CloZee has easily become one of our favorite artists with her unique and progressive take on bass music. For her latest release, she’s found the perfect track to remix with her lucid electronics. Inzo’s “Overthinker” was already an incredible song, one CloZee used to play in her live sets, but she’s definitely taken it into a new realm with a beautiful arrangement of eclectic sounds.
The track features spoken word from a British writer of the mid 20th century, Alan Watts, who is known for popularizing Eastern philosophies like Buddhism and Taoism for the West. Taking his philosophical musings into the world of electronic and bass music makes for psychedelic and eye-opening music, which perfectly meshes with CloZee’s sound. She’s delivered a dynamic combination of driving bass, effervescent synths, and vocal chops that perfectly complement the track’s transcendent themes.
