Australian trio Crooked Colours are back with a brand new summer swinging groove. This time they’ve taken on rising hip-hop star Don Toliver for a remix of his hit single “No Idea,” creating a warm, serene, and feel-good setting.
The remix is the first new production from the trio since the release of their album Langata. The track features a chilled out four-on-the-floor-beat with a soft guitar present throughout the entire piece. Don Toliver’s voice compliments that groove excellently, providing just the right amount of emotion and soul to round out the smooth instrumentation provided by Crooked Colours. “No Idea” never asks too much of the listener but has just the right amount of drive to keep you hooked and feeling good from end to end.
This one clocks in at just under two and a half minutes, but it hooks you in deep. We’d be surprised if you didn’t give this one another whirl after your first listen.
