Today we’ve got an insta-add for your warm weather playlists. Out via Spinnin Records, “In the sun,” by Danish producer Caius is the feel good summer tune we’ve been waiting for.
If the name Caius is unfamiliar to you before now, you’re going to want to change that. While his official discography on streaming services isn’t the largest, Caius is behind many of our favorite artists. He founded the record label Young (previously known as Young Turks), which currently houses prolific artists such as The xx and FKA Twigs. And not to mention, he’s made appearances at some of Europe’s largest festivals.
“In the sun” is Caius’ take on a summer anthem, an ode to early 00s style French house. Caius honors the jazzy vibe that he’s made his trademark, while still adding a modern twist to these sentimental influences. This indie house track delivers us the feeling of driving with the windows down, a warm breeze ruffling our hair. Shot through with golden, plucky guitar riffs, Caius turns up the reverb to create the dreamiest luxurious vibe.
