||, |,

The stage is set for Danny Brown’s next project. It’s been over three years since the release of his outstanding 2016 album Atrocity Exhibition, and the eccentric Detroit rapper has finally announced his fifth studio album, uknowwhatimsayin¿ (out via Warp on October 4).

The news comes equipped with a list of credits on the album, and they’re stacked. For guest verses, we’ll be getting appearances from Run The Jewels, JPEGMAFIA, Blood Orange, and more. There’s also production credits from Flying Lotus, among a few others. Most notably, the album is executively produced by the legendary Q-Tip.

“There was no room for error,” Danny Brown says in a press release. “Q-Tip wanted me to go back to that ‘Greatest Rapper Ever’ era. I almost had to relearn how to rap again—an ego death type thing. He gave me this whole new outlook on music. I can’t go back to how I was before.”

The first single, “Dirty Laundry” is out today, and has us stoked for what’s to come. Check out the music video for “Dirty Laundry” below and enjoy!
