Disclosure has become one of Dance Music’s most dependable acts. From pop anthems to dizzying underground bangers, the UK-based duo seem to hit the bullseye every time. When they release, we listen, and today we’re listening to their new track, “King Steps,” featuring fellow UK artist, Pa Salieu.

Skittering drum kits, bone-rattling bass, whirring synths, and rapid-fire rapping—in short this track is a board-certified heater. The pallet is on the darker side, something Disclosure has gotten increasingly excited to explore in recent years. They comment on this saying:

“We’re excited to continue showcasing the darker, harder side of our sound with ‘King Steps’. UK Garage has always been a core influence in our music, and it’s incredible to see its impact growing so much over the past year. Collaborating with Pa Salieu—who’s delivering some of the best music coming out of the UK right now—makes it the perfect time to release this track.”

Pa Salieu has truly stepped into his power this year. Having just released his album, Afrikan Alien, two weeks ago, he continues to broaden his horizons with this new feature.

“I’m an Afrikan Alien, and I know that garage music isn’t a genre people might expect me to jump on—but that’s what being an alien is about, moving from planet to planet, sound to sound. I stepped into Disclosure’s world and together we created an atmosphere that blends where we’re both coming from. That is true collaboration.” —Pa Salieu

It’s dark, it’s powerful, it’s lit. Disclosure and Pa Salieu are front and center just in time for the weekend with their new single, “King Steps.” Stream below and enjoy!
