The Swedish duo of Viktor Westerberg & Carl Leandersson, better known as Tomode, has continued to impress us with their modern take on the disco genre. Their recent single, “Conversation Starter,” served as our pleasant introduction to the duo. Today, they deliver their refreshing sophomore EP, Riviera.
A collection of bright melodic hooks, upbeat grooves, and bouncy bass lines, Riveria has all the feel-good vibes you could hope for in a disco EP. Beyond the three singles, Tomode continues to deliver entrancing melodies on the rest of the EP, delighting fans with new progressions and even more relatable lyrics.

For us, the Riviera is a place where profound natural beauty is entangled with a commercial hollowness. Enjoying a deep orange sunset on cheap plastic furniture. A light coastal breeze with a hint of chlorine. Just beneath the shiny surface flows a melancholic undercurrent that you just can’t seem to escape.
