Hip-Hop Duo Earthgang Signed To J. Cole’s Label Share EP Single “Nothin’ But The Best” Ft. Ari Lennox

When rising hip-hop duo EarthGang signed to J. Cole's Dreamville label last year, they announced they would be releasing three EP's before their next album. They dropped the Rags EP in September, the Robots EP in October, and now are gearing up for the Royalty EP to release this Friday, February 23rd. Today they released the lead single from it, "Nothin' But The Best," which features Dreamville labelmate Ari Lennox.

The Atlanta rappers have really settled into their sound with these new EP's, infusing a classic hip-hop sound with contemporary southern elements. This new single follows this style with a walking bass and keys that sound like they were pulled from a 90's Nas track, creating the perfect backdrop for their intricate lyrics and flows. Ari Lennox lends her voice for the chorus which splits up Johnny Venus' and Doctor Dot's verses nicely, further demonstrating the chemistry all these Dreamville artists have together.

EarthGang are currently touring the country with J.I.D., and if they're coming to your city that is not a show to be missed. After their third EP in the trilogy this week, EarthGang will be releasing Mirror Land, their new album, sometime in 2018. Enjoy!
