Eminem Opens New ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ Restaurant in Detroit

One of Eminem‘s most iconic lyrics has turned into an actual, brick-and-mortar restaurant. Mom’s Spaghetti officially opens today, September 29, at 2131 Woodward Ave in Detroit, Michigan. They serve just three items, all spaghetti based: Mom’s Spaghetti ($9), Mom’s Spaghetti with meatballs ($12), and a S’ghetti Sandwich ($11). There is also a vegan meatball option called Rabbit Balls (based on the 8 Mile character, B-Rabbit).

Mom’s Spaghetti first started as a pop-up joint in 2017 at The Shelter music venue. They would also pop up at various festivals where Eminem was performing, such as Governor’s Ball, Coachella, and Firefly. According to Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg, these were meant as tests to see if “there was enthusiasm for a regularly-occurring spot that would be open all year long.”

With an overwhelmingly positive response from fans, the restaurant is now able to open a permanent location in Detroit. Official hours are not yet posted for Mom’s Spaghetti, but it is located inside the Union Assembly restaurant (which owns and operates Mom’s Spaghetti), so the hours will likely be similar.
