Erick The Architect, one third of Flatbush Zombies and the group’s primary producer, has been carving out his own solo path over the past few years. The Brooklyn product has released three solo EPs to-date and is now gearing up for the release of his debut album I’ve Never Been Here Before. Today, he’s dropping the project’s first single “Shook Up,” a collaboration with the elusive Joey Bada$$ and R&B duo FARR.
Now living in LA and following the death of his mom, Erick The Architect is entering a new chapter of his career. “Shook Up” provides us with our first glimpse inside the project and does not disappoint. The smooth, jazz-centric production features sultry vocals provided by FARR while Erick and Joey offer their own take on new love.
I’ve Never Been Here Before is set to release on February 23. With production by James Blake, Linden Jay, and T Minus, the double album also features Westside Boogie, George Clinton, Channel Tres, Kimbra, RÜDE CÅT, Lala Hathaway, Boy Boy, and Pale Jay.
