Parisian multi-instrumentalist FKJ is undoubtedly one of the most talented musicians in the game. He’s had quite the busy summer, recently sharing two live videos – one of him performing his track “Die With A Smile” with the backdrop of an aquarium and the other, his more recent live collaboration with Masego, “Tadow." Tie these in with his debut album “French Kiwi Juice,” and FKJ has already taken the world by storm in the first half of 2017.

Now FKJ has joined forces with fellow musicians Wayne Snow, Darius, and Crayon to form a full band called The Nightbirds, which he says performs “improvised music.” Their first session is out today via Roche Musique, consisting of three songs: “Midnight Run,” “Gonna Be Alright,” and “Goodbye.” The first track transitions seamlessly into the next, with all three maintaining a chill and trippy downtempo vibe. Moreover, FKJ recently curated a “Mini Mixtape” for BBC Radio, in which he discusses his musical background and influences. He shows us some of his favorites, including music from Mild High Club and Aretha Franklin, and he makes sure to throw in a couple of his own tracks too. It’s evident that FKJ is a Jack-of-all-trades, and his talents shine in his latest material. We can be sure that he won’t be slowing down anytime soon. For now, check out his mini-mix below and enjoy!
