In our modern world of music, there is so much talent out there that it’s nearly impossible to appreciate it all. Of all of those producers and artists that we’ve come to love, very few possess talent as pure and raw as FKJ. His work truly is art. So much so, in fact, that he was recently invited to put on a small show at the Paris Museum of Modern Art. The full video of the performance was posted by FKJ himself, and it will simply blow you away.
For those of you unfamiliar, we actually just highlighted his album this year as the #2 spot on our list of best electronic albums of 2017. What makes FKJ special may be his mastery of a number of various instruments that surround him: an electric keyboard, a saxophone, a lead guitar, a bass guitar, a piano, his voice. What really impresses us is the way he combines all of them into one performance with looping effects and drum machines, turning himself into a one-of-a-kind, one man band. If you were to listen to his most recent album, French Kiwi Juice, without knowing anything about FKJ, chances are you wouldn’t believe it was all done by one person, live. Once again, FKJ speaks to the soul. Enjoy!
