There’s electronic producers and live bands, and then there’s FKJ, who’s a one of a kind hybrid. This multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire started getting on rotation at TSIS for his unique original tracks and remixes like ZHU’s “Paradise Awaits” and Alina Baraz & Galimatias’ “Pretty Thoughts,” and he’s since expanded his repertoire while using his own vocals on his first single “Better Give U Up” off his forthcoming album.
FKJ puts on an incredible live performances in his sets blending electronic production and excellent soul samples with live instrumentation from an array of instruments. Thanks to Red Bull Studios, he’s given us a glimpse into what an FKJ studio session is like as he loops keyboard with a beat while laying over a baseline, sexy saxophone riffs, and slick guitar riffs, even hopping on the piano for a soulful breakdown to end the video. He really shows off how adept he is as a musician as he seamlessly hops from instrument to instrument like a one man band. Enjoy!
