As we continue to vibe out to his magnificent sophomore album, FKJ has shared a brand new music video to one of the more chill, jazzy tracks, “Different Masks for Different Days.” The video features a performance from model and choreographer Mès Lesne, who takes the song to new heights with his incredible dance number.
The video shows Lesne dancing around a town, mimicking the actions of those he passes by. The concept for the song and the video comes from being a “social chameleon,” according to FKJ:
From time to time I would catch myself altering my being depending on who I was with. A weird feeling which made me write down this sentence “Different Masks For Different Days.” When we started working on the casting, Mès Lesne and I crossed paths through common friends in Paris. I was mesmerized by his dancing, as was Greg (director). We didn’t look any further, he was the one for this role.
FKJ is set to go on tour this fall, his first since before the pandemic. He also recently appeared on one of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts.
