Anyone who’s been following us for a while knows how much we love Flamingosis. The Brooklyn producer is well known in funk, soul, and hip hop circles and has built up a reputation for tirelessly touring around the country. He’s teamed up with Loci Records on a very unique project aimed at highlighting the best beatmakers and sample-masters in the game. The first track to be revealed from the project is Flamingosis’ “Enjoy Your Life.”
Creating a sample pack by pulling clips, loops, hits, out of prior Loci Records releases a unique and exclusive sample pack was given to Flamingosis to play around with. The result is a classic laid back summer groove that has become a staple of Flamingosis’ productions. Groovy melodies, wavy synths, and a deliciously smooth beat, all while using strictly Loci Records samples, prove once again why Flamingosis is still one of the classiest beatmakers around.
Next up on the project is fellow sample aficionado, Blockhead, who will be joining Flamingosis on their joint North American tour. We’ll be on the lookout for his take on the Loci sample pack but until then sit back, relax, and enjoy!
