Production/live instrumentation duo The Floozies have always impressed with their carefree, energetic funk sound. Just this year the two dropped “Arithmetic” feat. ProbCause, a track bursting with energy that remains fresh even a few months later. Today we’re excited to premiere yet another single that keeps The Floozies’ momentum high: “Better 4 U.”
Genres collide on this track, with The Floozies drawing from soul, electro and future funk throughout. Although the single leads you in smoothly with soulful vocal harmonies, groovy guitar licks and a funkified vocal sample, things become more and more layered as the track progresses. The duo ties in countless production elements, live instrumentals and vocal samples to create an adventurous vibe that jumps around throughout and doesn’t take itself too seriously. In fact, “Better 4 U” embodies The Floozies’ style as a whole: The two take risks with their music but have fun and keep things carefree while doing so.
