Flume has one final single to share with us before the official release of his highly-anticipated album, Palaces, drops on Friday. His latest is a lovely melodic number, titled “Hollow,” which features the flawless vocals of platinum-selling artist, Emma Louise.
Flume and Emma Louise are a perfect match on this new song, which equally displays Flume’s production prowess and Louise’s singing voice. “Hollow” is yet another example of how Flume is combining his sound design talents and accessible songwriting style for Palaces.
In an interview with Zane Lowe via Apple Music, Flume said this wasn’t the only track he and Emma Louise created together:
We’re old friends, she actually lives 20 minutes from my house in Byron so she’s close by as well. And we’ve been friends for years, she’s Australian and we just got together one day and we’ve been writing a bunch of music, actually. We actually might do something more because we’ve got so many songs together. But this one came about just really effortlessly and it feels like a nice, almost uplifting moment. It’s not too dark, which is nice.
Flume’s Palaces will be available for streaming this Friday, May 20.
