While we’ve been loving all the new music Flux Pavilion has been churning out lately, we’ve now received the good news that the superstar’s release streak is still far from over. Having ended 2018 with his recent single “Symphony”, only to turn around in Marchto announce a new album on the way, today we’re excited to have the pleasure of premiering yet another incredible release from the illustrious bass-bringer, with his new song “Lion’s Cage” (feat. Nevve).
Leave it to Flux to switch things up on us yet again with this latest single. Having teamed up with the quickly rising, multi-faceted LA vocal collective Nevve (who you may recognize from collabs with Illenium, Seven Lions, Manila Killa, DROELOE & more), it’s apparent the UK-born producer has yet another hit on his hands.
Starting off slow with some lush, detuned synths and bouncing arpegios, Nevve’s passionate vocals quickly float in, filling the empty sonic space with both buoyant energy and a palpable sense of longing. As the track slowly dips in and out of soft, melancholic verses and bright, booming crescendos, Flux masterfully blends shrill, skittering synths, pitched vocal chops and heavy, pulsing bass to perfectly round out this impressive new offering.
