Even on their own, Fred Again.. and Anderson .Paak are two of the biggest scenes in the music industry. So when we heard these two had a collab track in the works, our expectations for the upcoming inevitable magic was sky-high. Luckily, we were not disappointed; “places to be” is such a fun tune that somehow feels fresh for both of them.
Fred incorporates so many breakbeats in his lives shows, so we’re thrilled to hear them in an official release. The DnB-esque percussion line is so catchy and crisp, and a quick look at the production credits reveals none other than Skrillex helped mastermind it. .Paak’s signature smooth style of rapping is the perfect complement for it as he bounces all over the verse. A vocal chop from CHIKA adds the perfect texture on top of this already fully-loaded track.
