What better day to celebrate the iconic sound of acid than on March 3, also known as 303-day. G Jones, purveyor of brilliantly harnessed, corrosive sounds is celebrating the Roland TB-303 on this day with the release of his new single, “A2C2I2D.”
There’s a reason why the cover art for “A2C2I2D” has warning signs plastered all over it. Abrasive, pulsating percussion introduces the track, giving you a moment to strap in before the acidic synths take us into a suspenseful build-up. The tension is released as soon as G Jones drops a nasty breakbeat, enveloping the listener in a world of bass. This one only gets crazier from there on out as G Jones pushes the limits, packing as much energy as he can into this deranged number.
“A2C2I2D” is the second single coming from his Acid Disk 2 EP, which is forthcoming, yet without an official release date.
G Jones is currently on his IllusoryOS tour, which may be coming to a city near you. You can find more info on that right here.
