The record-breaking, chart-topping band, Glass Animals, left a pretty iconic stamp on the music scene in 2020 with the release of their album Dreamland. Fans from all over the globe latched onto iconic singles “Heat Waves” and “Tokyo Drifting” with high hopes to secure tickets to see the British band perform their favorite tracks in the flesh. However, the dreams of fans everywhere were sadly squashed at the outbreak of COVID, and the cancellation of live shows.
Today, Glass Animals wants to make up for all of the time that they missed with their fans, and shine a newer, brighter light on their iconic album. On the second anniversary of the release of Dreamland, the British virtuosos are excited to announce Dreamland: Real Life Edition. Highlighted by a comedic teaser they released on Twitter, Glass Animals emphasized this release as a revival of sorts, for the comeback of live music and events.
Dreamland: Real Life Edition will see the joining of fan favorite remixes from the original album, stripped-back versions via Dreamland (+ Bonus Levels), and everything in between.
Here is what Glass Animals has to say about their upcoming release:
Back in 2020, we had this delicately constructed, intricate plan to launch Dreamland with a bunch of special shows, signings and real-life events. This is our chance to do some of the things that were in our original plan, for the fans who have been there with us every step of the way.
You can pre-order Dreamland: Real Life Edition here, out everywhere August 5 via Republic Records.
