GoldLink, who is behind recent collaborations such as “Boo You Know” with Falcons and “Let’s Go” with Khalid, has covered Outkast’s legendary song “Roses” on BBC Radio 1 and it is everything one could hope for. A frequent TSIS favorite, GoldLink released his debut album titled At What Cost this past march and since has become one of the hottest growing hip-hop artists in the game. He is an incredibly versatile artist, able to modify his voice to fit the theme of any song as he exhibits in this cover.
The cover definitely does the original justice, keeping the integrity but making the GoldLink touch inevitable. He sings the song incredibly well, showing to viewers that he is more than just a rapper, but rather a skilled vocalist and artist. The cover is, for the most part, the same as the original. However, receives an original verse from Hare Squead, who have worked with GoldLink in the past on tracks such as “Herside Story”. Enjoy!
