Grateful Dead Set To Reunite In Chicago for Farewell Concerts for 50th Anniversary With Trey Anastasio Of Phish

The true pioneers of the Jam Band culture, an essential bridge to today’s global electronic scene, the Grateful Dead have just announced some huge news. All living members will reunite  for the first time in many years for the band’s 50th anniversary. The missing members will be filled in by Phish front man Trey Anastasio, the talented pianist Bruce Hornsby, and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. Being that Phish is  arguably considered the act that carried over the family oriented jam culture into what it is today, it couldn’t be more fitting that Trey has joined this incredible reunion.

The shows will be taking place over July 3rd, 4th and 5th this summer in the great city of Chicago, at the iconic Soldier Field.

Chicago has a special place in the band's history being where the group had their last shows as the Grateful Dead two decades ago in 1995 (Pictured above). This is also where React Presents has been throwing it’s Spring Awakening festival for the past 3 years, and also home to the Chicago Bears.

The shows will be on sale through The Grateful Dead’s original ticketing service and general tickets will be on sale February 14th.
