Great Dane is highly regarded as a staple in the bass and trap music scene, with his hard-hitting, hip-hop influenced productions. As co-founder of the TeamSupreme collective alongside Mr. Carmack and King Henry, he’s cemented himself as one of the most forward-thinking producers out there. Today, he’s releasing his sixth full-length album Epsilon Iguana, out now via ADBC Records.
Epsilon Iguana is heavily inspired by Great Dane’s relocation from SoCal to NYC. The 12-track project is packed to the brim with intricate sound design and catchy melodies. Great Dane’s versatile production skills are on full display as he never stays in line with just one genre. Of course, there’s that classic, heavy trap sound on tracks like “Duh Nah Nah” and “Epsilon Iguana.” But it’s the ethereal sounds of “Royal Perspective,” soulful melodies of “Quietly,” and intricate rhythms of “The Brooklyn Shuffle” that make Epsilon Iguana a groundbreaking body of work.
