It’s Dreamville season! My two most anticipated albums coming up are undoubtedly Revenge Of The Dreamers III and Earthgang’s highly anticipated Mirrorland. It’s safe to say they’re the most exciting label in rap at this very moment. Every rap fan has been sitting at the edge of their seats waiting for more info on ROT3 or hear new music from the hyped project.
Today we get not one… but TWO new songs off the compilation. The first “Down Bad” features J.I.D., Bas, Earthgang’s Johhny Venus, Young Nudy and Dreamville head honcho J. Cole. This one goes hard, and is exactly what I want from a Dreamville family affair as they each trade verses over the hard hitting track with J.I.D. holding down the hook duties.
Additionally they dropped the ultra smooth new track “Got Me” with Ari Lennox, Ty Dolla $ign, Omen, and Dreezy. Ari shows she’s to Dreamville what SZA is to TDE. The slick production allows the catchy R&B vocals and laid back verses to soar. This full album is about to be a special one to say the least. Enjoy!
