HUMS Drifts Into Focus with Lo-Fi Reverie “Fractures”

|||

HUMS‘ album release cycle has officially begun with the debut of first single “Fractures,” an introspective electronic piece built on rich lo-fi textures, field-recorded vocals, and soft sonic scaffolding all rolled together. Gently rising and falling in energy, the composition from the Helsinki-based producer favors a distinctive dreamy atmosphere with fluid structure, unfolding slowly to reveal its layered details.

“Fractures” marks the first time MOODS INTL. has released music from an artist other than its founder. While Mild Minds has used the label to issue several of his own independent works since launching in 2024, HUMS is the first external addition to the roster – signaling a meaningful collaboration between the two talents and perhaps more new signed talent to come.

With MOODS INTL. offering both platform and creative alignment for HUMS, “Fractures” introduces a unique rabbit hole to proper pull listeners down. The project was born from emotional processing and an urge to preserve vulnerable moments, often using personal voice recordings captured spontaneously on a phone. That origin story is one that comes through in the music itself.

With this debut out in the ether, HUMS opens a carefully paced journey that begins with “Fractures.” Stream the track below and enjoy!
