J.I.D. is undoubtedly one of the most talented rappers out there right now. He just dropped his sophomore album DiCaprio 2 via J. Cole’s Dreamville and it is incredible to say the least. Throughout the album’s 14 tracks he enlists features from J. Cole, A$AP Ferg, Joey Bada$$, 6LACK, Method Man, BJ The Chicago Kid with production credits including Mac Miller, Kenny Beats and more as the Atlanta native does not hold back on his latest offering. This is one of the albums we’ve been most excited for this year and it did not disappoint in the slightest.
As far as technical rapping abilities go, the only person doing verses like this is Kendrick Lamar. When J.I.D. starts his verses he hits the ground running like a bat out of hell and doesn’t look back. He seems to just unleash some of the most intricate flows on each of his songs and DiCaprio 2 puts this rare talent on full display. J.I.D. is a generational talent that can rap circles around nearly anyone right now. Along with his song boating rapid-fire wordplay comes laid-back, smooth tracks that bring the soul.
