J. Cole is on an absolute hot streak right now. He claimed his stake as king of features in 2018 unleashing some of his best verses to date, seemingly leveling up with every guest feature. Now he kicked off 2019 with one of the most exciting moments in recent hip-hop memory by gathering an insane group of artists for a 10-day recording session of his forthcoming label compilation album Revenge of The Dreamers III.
Now in the midst of all this, Cole has decided to drop an amazing new song titled “Middle Child” produced by T-Minus. Cole kills it on the reflective song with smooth, laidback flows and a slick beat comprised of gentle horns, well-placed samples and skipping hi-hats. Cole reflects being in the middle of two generations of rap and coexisting with both, learning from artists like Jay-Z while giving guidance to artists like Kodak Black and 21 Savage. We’re loving this one and excited to hear what else is in store for us. Enjoy!
