Ja Rule Sells Fyre Festival Logo Painting as NFT for $122,000

So Fyre Festival wasn’t a complete failure for Ja Rule, then.

The rapper and infamous Fyre Festival co-founder got in on the NFT hype and made a few bucks off a piece of an oil painting that featured their logo—a piece that used to hang up in their company’s old office. Along with the NFT, which sold for $122,000, Ja Rule is also throwing in the physical painting itself.

The painting will also apparently come with a note from Ja Rule that simply reads: “Fuck this painting.” In an interviews with Forbes and TMZ, Ja Rule had mentioned that he wanted it out of his life, and that he “just wanted that energy out.

Ja Rule hosted the auction for the oil painting/NFT combo on his own new NFT exchange company, KickFlip, which allows artists to sell their physical work alongside an NFT release.
