Rising artist Jaydon Lewis and internationally renowned singer Paxton have paired up on a dance-worthy new single, “good company,” right in time for summer.
The 19-year-old South African artists come together harmoniously on this catchy new tune. The two teens have proved themselves at a very young age. Jaydon, enjoying world-wide attention for his music by his 17th birthday, and Paxton winning South African Idol back in 2017.
“good company” marks a departure from Jaydon’s prior, more trap-infused sound to a stylistic metamorphosis of sorts. “The inspiration was to create something uplifting and experiment and push ourselves creatively as artists but in a fun, upbeat vibe” says Jaydon.
The melodic and ultimately fun new single is a product of Jaydon, Paxton, and fellow South African talent Caleb Williams spending five days together in the studio.
“I think we both knew after hearing the song that it was something really special,” said Paxton. And we’d have to agree; “good company” is precisely the kind of upbeat tune the world needs right now. Complete with innovative instrumentation and vocals that just won’t stay out of your head, the track is set to be one of the anthems of summer 2020.
“good company” comes out tomorrow, April 23. Stream exclusively below and enjoy!
